Some of you older Bankies may remember this... I took this photograph in May 1979 and sent it to the TV program called "THAT'S LIFE". I thought it was funny but the local paper thought otherwise...

I was all chuffed getting a photograph on National Television. It was seen by millions of viewers. Here is a photograph I took of my TV screen the night it was on TV. I didn't have a video recorder in those days. Do you remember when TV's were like goldfish bowls?

But it upset the local paper, The Clydebank Press. They did not see the funny side...

The following week, there was a couple of letters which made reference to my photo...

By coincidence, in the same week, the photograph was published  in the Amateur Photographer. I got the princely sum of £3 for it.

So A few years later, it was published in the company newspaper...

This is my most famous photograph. So there you go, after 30 years, I still think it's a funny photograph. What do you think?
